Our Qualifications
At Attuned Therapy + Wellness, our therapists are highly trained and qualified to provide professional psychotherapy services. Our team holds credentials with two regulatory bodies that oversee the controlled act of psychotherapy in Ontario:
-
The College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) – for Registered Nurses (RN) who have additional training in psychotherapy.
-
The College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) – for Registered Psychotherapists (RP) and RPs (Qualifying).
These credentials ensure that our therapists meet rigorous standards for training, ethical practice, and client safety, so you can feel confident in the care you receive.

Therapy Trainings
Our team of mental health professionals are trained in various therapy modalities to help clients heal and grow. Click the icons below to learn more about the approaches that our therapist team is trained in.
EMDR Therapy
A trauma-focused therapy that helps clients process and integrate traumatic memories to reduce distress and promote emotional regulation.
Brainspotting
Brainspotting is a brain-body therapy that uses the visual field to access and process stored trauma. It’s especially effective for emotional regulation, trauma recovery, and performance blocks.

CBT for Trauma
CBT supports clients in identifying and shifting unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, trauma responses, and mood difficulties. It empowers individuals to develop healthier coping strategies.
Internal Family Systems
IFS is a gentle, respectful approach that helps you explore the different “parts” of yourself — like the inner critic, the overwhelmed part, or the part that wants to shut down. It’s especially helpful for healing trauma, improving self-understanding, and reconnecting with your authentic self.
Compassionate Inquiry
Developed by Dr. Gabor Maté, this approach gently uncovers the unconscious beliefs and emotional patterns that shape how we live, relate, and suffer. It emphasizes presence, compassion, and connection.
Rates & Insurance
At Attuned Therapy + Wellness, we strive to provide transparent and accessible pricing for our psychotherapy services.
Individual Therapy: $150 per session, no tax
Couples & Family Therapy: $180 per session, no tax
We provide detailed insurance receipts by email after each session, which can be submitted to your insurance provider for reimbursement. We encourage all clients to check with their insurance company prior to booking to confirm coverage for therapists registered under our regulatory bodies:
Registered Nurse Psychotherapists (RN Psychotherapy): Typically covered by Greenshield and NHIB
Registered Psychotherapists (CRPO): Often covered by Greenshield, Manulife, Canada Life, Sun Life, and most other extended health plans
Our nurse psychotherapy team is supervised by a Registered Psychotherapist, which may support certain insurance claims; however, reimbursements must be submitted under the therapist providing the direct service.
We are committed to making therapy accessible and helping you maximize your insurance benefits while ensuring high-quality, regulated care across Ontario.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that unexpected events can occur, and we strive to be flexible whenever possible. However, consistency in therapy is essential for meaningful progress, and therapists reserve time specifically for each scheduled session.
For this reason, we require the full session fee for any no-shows or late cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice. This policy helps ensure:
Continuity of care for clients, supporting steady progress in therapy
Availability of appointments for other clients seeking support
Fair use of therapist time, as sessions are reserved exclusively for you
Please note that cancellation fees are not typically covered by insurance, as they reflect the value of the scheduled time and the importance of maintaining consistent therapy. We encourage clients to reschedule as early as possible if a conflict arises, so we can accommodate your needs and maintain your therapeutic momentum.
